At our core, HBCC remains true to our mission of promoting good relations and mutual understanding by offering many diverse cultural programs that highlight the relationship between Hyogo and Washington.
Education about Japan lies at the foundation of mutual understanding, and HBCC strives to support in educators in many ways. Our High School Speech and Skit competition is the largest in the country, and our Summer Institute is a highly regarded opportunity for in-service educators to gain valuable new skills for their classrooms. Classroom Outreach programs bring Japan to your schools, with presentations on numerous Japanese cultural, economic, and historical topics.
HBCC is pleased to be able to work with many community partners in offering these programs, as the strong Japanese and Japanese American community in Washington State provided numerous opportunities to learn about and experience Japan.
