Date: December 2nd, 2007 Complete with live traditional music, this presentation of Japan's tea culture will warm and inspire on a cold winter's day. As part of SAM's "Japan Envisions the West" exhibit, visitors can experience exquisite Japanese art from the 16th - 19th centuries, classical Biwa (Japanese lute) music, and the Urasenke tradition of Chado, The Way of Tea. The weekend of December 2nd also celebrates the opening of Part II of the "Japan Envisions the West" exhibit, which features treasures from Kobe on exhibit in Seattle until January 6th. |
