Awaji Island, an island in Hyogo Prefecture, is filled with personality and intriguing sights. According to some ancient Japanese literature, Awaji Island is said to be the first island that formed in Japan, and there are many locations there that are related to the legends of how the nation came to be. The island has recently become the home of attractions for both thrill and relaxation, namely, a Zen hotel and a Godzilla zipline.

Godzilla Interception Operation Awaji, which opened in October 2020, is an attraction in the Nijigen no Mori theme park. The attraction has four components: a theater playing an exclusive short film, a zipline leading guests into the mouth of a massive Godzilla statue, a shooting game, and the Godzilla Museum.
